Chef, entrepreneur, and cookbook author, I am a Parsi Zoroastrian Mumbai native with extensive experience in the professional food and hospitality industry. I have a passion for using my culinary and hospitality background to make Indian and Parsi food more accessible to the Western world.
Starting with India's Taj Hotels, I've had the pleasure of managing state visits of high-ranking dignitaries and international celebrities like Bill Clinton, Stephen Hawking, Margeret Thatcher, and Elton John to name a few. Having promoted Indian food in China, and, most recently, founded food businesses in California's Silicon Valley, I'm your go-to chef for Indian cooking! You can also find my famous tips and techniques about Indian and Parsi cooking on the food blog, Peri's Spice Ladle.
For my popular corporate Xperiences, I walk participants through the art of Flatbread-making, and Samosa-making accompanied by fresh masala chai made with my Signature Masala Chai blend. Hungry Xperience kits include ingredients and tools necessary to cook along with me.
What is Parsi Food?
A unique Indian regional cuisine. It was introduced by Zoroastrian immigrants who moved from Persia to western India during the 8th century. This much-loved cuisine has evolved over a thousand years and while it has embraced many Indian influences, it still holds firm to its Persian roots.
