The Indian-inspired Veggie Burger

Behold a spicy veggie burger that takes its rightful place of pride at the burger podium.

The spicy veggie patty is best cradled on a soft burger bun, topped with chutney, spicy tomato sauce and other burger fixings’ of your choice.

For a healthier touch or gluten-free version, lay the burger patty on a large lettuce leaf topped with tomatoes and sliced onion.

Take a mix of potatoes and carrots. Flavor them in aromatic ginger, garlic, and ground spices. Add the crunch of yellow sweet corn kernels and the creaminess of the cheese. Help shape the patty with besan (chickpea flour). Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and lemon juice. Cook on an indoor stovetop, bake in an oven, or grill outdoors, your choice! In addition, using chickpea flour makes these patties completely gluten-free. And to create a flavorful vegan version, just leave out the cheese. Pairs well with jeera-n-mint roasted potatoes.
